Demographic, Clinical and Radiological Findings among Patients with CTU Detected Urolithiasis in a Tertiary Hospital

Background: Computed tomography urography (CTU) is the current radiological imaging modality for evaluation of kidneys, ureters and urinary bladder pathologies. CTU has largely replaced intravenous in centers that computed tomogram machines.
 Objectives: The aim this study to identify common location urolithiasis tract correlate it with age, sex, stone size Hounsfield unit (HU) using CT scan Radiology department Rivers State University Teaching Hospital.
 Methods: A retrospective descriptive design was employed. total 140 patient’s data were used. P-value below 0.05 considered statistically significant.
 Results: One-hundred forty patients studied over a 24 months period. median age 43.50 years. prevalence stones (n=47, 33.6%) range highest 41-50 male: female 1.8:1. Renal are commonly found inferior pole. Vesicoureteric junction more prevalent females. There significant association between sex. (P=0.005).
 Conclusion: Urolithiasis seen males. calculi kidney, pelviureteric (PUJ), vesicoureteric (VUJ), downhill order correspondingly. pole most site renal VUJ frequent females while other locations Interestingly, sex showed association.
